Adventures of coming home

So Yesterday at the buttcrack of dawn, got up and went to Shing's house so he could take me to the airport.  Got to the airport no problem, checked in my bag, everything was just great besides being a little tired, but hey, I was going home.  I get on the plane, everyone is anti social and tries to prevent you from sitting next to people, and since it was a full flight, and I didn't want to sit in the back of the plane so I could get out earlier, I sat next to this elderly lady who had spread her stuff over the two seats as she sat in the window seat, I asked her if the seat was available and plopped down.  I start to fall asleep and then all of a sudden *BAM, the stewardess had kicked my toe on accident and now my pinkie was bleeding... and she didn't even apologize, she just looked over and as I had naturally withdrew my foot, she thought she tripped over nothing.  So I was really annoyed, but I thought "eh, whatevers now I have a manly story to complain about" but I was not a happy camper.  Once after take off, I turned on my ipod and went to sleep, next thing I know is the bump of landing in Chicago, Midway.  Apparently electronics don't really affect the flying cause my ipod was on the entire time, it was an accident I was asleep haha.  I land in Chicago and have a 2 hour lay over.  Bored out of my mind, and didn't want to pay for the internet which is lame cause Columbus has free internet and so does Tucson but anyways.  As they started to pre-board, I noticed 11 wheel chairs... so it was another full flight with a bunch of retirees and children.  So I board and sit in the first row, in the middle of an old lady and an old guy.  As I sit down, the guy says "I got a bum leg" and I was like "ok, i'll be careful"  but in my mind I was like who cares.  Sit through the flight and about 2/3 through the trip I wake to the guy taking off his leg!  What he meant by "bum" was that it was prosthetic!  Which freaked me out a bit, but I remained calm.  We began to talk and he was moving to Tucson to live with his daughter cause his wife and him had divorced.  He used to be a kicker for the Pittsburg Steelers, as he had a SuperBowl ring to back it up haha.  But now he was an amputee... and it was just kinda sad, but I wish him all the best.

Arrive, and the stewardess activates the slide in the door... and so maintanence has to come and deflate it... wait another 15 minutes in the plane.  Arrive and my parents take me to In N Out (check facebook for pictures), Double Double, animal style yay! Then we go to the hospital to visit a family friend and their baby son who is in the hospital for liver problems... so please pray for Andrei, he's like 4 months old, but crazy sick.  Come home, rest watched 3 episodes of house, then my cousin Tim finally comes home and said he was gonna beat me in Street Fighter 4, win 10 rounds straight and called him a girl.  Dinner went to a Thai place, and oh man... I really love Beef Green Curry.  Come home around 845, and found out something hilarious... my mom and dad love watching "that 70's show"... watched a couple episodes on tv with them and went to bed around 11, got up at 6am, cause my body thinks it's 9 and I am up usually around 830, so anyways... that's all I have for now.  More food adventures later.

Keep on Learning till the day I die

That's what I believe life is, one GIANT freakin course on how to grow up and be ready for the day that He comes back.  So in actuality, it's one GIANT patience test.  I mean, first you gotta wait 9 months in the womb, then you come out, and you begin to die.  But you usually don't die right away, you have to wait to walk, wait to talk, wait to go to school, wait to get out of school, wait to get out of grad school, wait for the right job, wait to get married, wait to have kids, wait to send your kids to school, wait to send your kids to college, wait for them to move out, wait for them to get married, wait for grandkids, wait for retirement, wait and see if you failed at life, wait till death, for us Christians, after death, we still have to wait for Christs' return for our glorified bodies.  It's one GIANT waiting game.  Each step, each phase, is unique, is great, but nonetheless you wait.  We might as well start working on our patience even before we work on loving others.  So I am waiting, and learning to wait.  Waiting for myself to stop doubting myself, waiting for myself to grow up, waiting for my Youth Group and College group to mature, waiting for a chance to go to seminary, waiting to earn the trust of others, waiting for God's timing, waiting for this stage to end and enter the next, waiting to learn to care for others, waiting to be cared for by others, wait wait wait wait wait... and amidst all this i stumble and learn and stubmle some more and learn some more.  God is good, God is faithful.

I'm fiercely loyal, to my God, to my friends, so sometimes, i over analyze situations, and though i try to be the best friend i can be, and put other peoples needs above my own, often times, i am misjudged for my actions.  I really don't know what to do.  I am called to love others, but my love is called into question, when in reality, they should be questioning themselves... are they loving at all!  I am at my ropes end... I have no more power of my own... God.... take me to the place where I belong... if for me to stay, then change my heart, soul, mind, and attitude.  Grant me peace and wisdom, understanding and patience as I wait on you...

You know how they say you never know what you got till it's gone... well, I know what I'm missing since it's gone... yet I will praise the Lord, and to God be the glory.

Youth Group

So we moved to Saturday, it was intense, had a great parents meeting. I really enjoy talking to my friends close and away. I am glad that my friendships are developing so well. God is good all the time. I really thank God for friends that constantly challenge me "who does it benefit" or "no course joking" you know who you are, i don't have to name you. I am very glad that God has brought you into my life to challenge and to encourage. Thanks, oh so I want to make a shout out to Anastasia Wendelton, she's my friend i met online, NO NOT A DATING WEBSITE, just a friend with mutual interests and outlooks on life. I just wanted to say, it's really awesome to chat with you and I'm glad that we share so many similar outlooks even sausage and mushroom pizza haha. hope to get to hang out with you soon, i hope you're really a woman and not a man. ok just thought i would leave that in there. Life Update

So it's been almost 6 months since i last posted. Things have changed so much, first of all, I found out painstakingly that I am soooo Asian. In my mind, I think like an Asian, act like an Asian and want to be Asian. This may sound weird because I am Asian, but I found out that I really really really like being Asian, anyways.

I have been here almost 10 months, God has been good. I went on missions with my team and I love every one of them so dearly. My CR-V is so trusty and reliable and comfortable. My friends and I are doing well, no special person but that's good cause I barely have time to do anything. I am still kinda lonely cause I'm a needy person ahha j/k. I don't know how many people actually read this. Anyways, I was wondering do you feel like you're lonely sometimes even though you're surrounded by a room full of people? I do. well, this has been fun, i'm just sorta ranting on xanga, i'm learning self control and not calling people as much. haha, but if i did what i really wanted, i would just call all day, but it is in your best interest haha, you know who you are if you read this.

ok. i leave you all with a trivia

What's the two hottest animals on the farm?

Update on mii life

So, I moved to Ohio on January 10th of 2008. Columbus Ohio. I am a Youth Pastor here, I serve at Columbus Chinese Christian Church, I can't seem to run away from the "CCC" haha, oh wells. I've been here over 2 months now, so life's pretty different, but in a good way. Currently, there are around 30ish Highschoolers in our Friday fellowship, but I see it potentially EXPLODING to about 60 next year, we just got to get the pillars in place. The Jr. Highers are around 20ish and they have parents leading it for now, cause the Jr. High and High school are going on at the same time, so I hope to switch that sometime so I can be involved with the Jr. Highers. College group, we have around 12-15, we also have the potential to exploding(excuse my fob) if we get our heads on right. I have the opportunity to preach twice a month, once in English congregation, and once in Cantonese congregation (in English), I preach occasionally in the Mandarin Congregation (in Mandarin). I am preaching on Easter Sunday for combined service, so pray for me aight!

I hope to start my Seminary classes soon, so I can get my MA in Apologetics, and then get my PhD in Linguistics and then PhD in Ministry. Alright, so that's me in a nut shell.

I drive a New CR-V Silver, AWD cause of the snow, and yeah, i wanna get a system in it to make my ear drums bleed. Alright, I hope this update is better than my last few posts haha. ok guys and gals i'll catch you on the flip side
